About Me
I'm a NYC born and based photographer. An urbanist by training, I use photography to showcase the relationship between individuals and their environments. I'm motivated by a desire to use photography to showcase all walks of life with dignity. My approach to client work is to practice active listening and I draw from influences in fine art, film, and literature to bring a dynamic vision to life.
My work has been commissioned by activist organizations, academic institutions, businesses and individuals. I've been recognized as a member of Diversify Photo and I've been exhibited at Harvard’s art galleries.
I live in Cambridge where I'm currently an MBA/MPP joint degree student at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. I graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor's in Urban and Regional Studies.
Artistic Vision
My photography highlights the vibrancy of Black life and the cross-generational struggle for liberation. I use digital and 35mm formats to make portrait, landscape, street, and documentary photos. I elucidate the beauty lurking with mundane people, places, and moments-investigating culture, business, and politics using visual language. My portraits are authentic because I photograph subjects where they feel local.
My Love for Cities and Places
Outside of photography, I'm an avid urbanist who believes that creating equitable and sustainable cities is a crucial 21st century problem.
My landscape and street photographs invite viewers to situate themselves in a world increasingly shaped by human hands. They blur the line between the natural and human realms. I'm a firm believer in the idea that you are a product of your [built and natural] environment.
